New England is filled with quaint stores and with Christmas less than a month away we took a look at some of the most popular ones in each state. With so many options it was difficult to narrow down our list so if there are any of your favorites left off we would love to hear from you!
Connecticut
The Historical Christmas Barn in Wilton has been welcoming shoppers since the 1990s. Located inside the Lambert House, which has been been in existence since 1750, shoppers feel as if they are stepping back in time upon entering the store. The Historical Christmas Barn is an exclusive Patricia Breen Designs retailer, a wife-husband team, they create a limited number of ornaments each year from their Krakow, Poland studio.
In addition to the rare ornaments The Historical Christmas Barn offers visitors German-made Inge-glas heirloom ornaments, Christina’s World hand-painted glass ornaments, German Nutcrackers and Smoking Men, Joy to the World’s Pet Collection, Old World Christmas, Elaine Rosesele's handmade Santas, Mark Roberts' Fairies, Wee Forest Folk and Wilhelm Schweitzer German Pewter.
Maine
Bar Harbor, Maine not only provides great hikes but also a unique Christmas shop. The Christmas Vacation Shop located on Main Street in Bar Harbor features a wide-variety of handmade ornaments and gifts, many of which are made in the store each day by visiting artists. Some of the handmade Christmas decorations that you will find include lobster claw ornaments, Santa Clause or snowmen painted on lobster shells or glass ornaments.

Massachusetts
Our featured Massachusetts Christmas shop is the Oakwood Farm Christmas Barn situated in Spencer, a half hour drive from Worcester.
Open for its 44th year of business this year, the Oakwood Farm Christmas Barn features their own farm made wreaths and centerpieces along with thousands of nativities, ornaments, Santa's and carolers.
Shoppers can also view a vintage ornament display in the gazebo. The ornaments aren't for sale but rather for viewing and the enjoyment of all guests.
New Hampshire
The place to visit in the Granite State is the Christmas Loft. With two locations in North Conway and North Woodstock, the Christmas Loft has everything from ornaments to villages to candy to cards to tree trimmings and everything in between.
Connected by the Kancamagus Scenic Highway both stores are perfect for the entire family and they bring Christmas to life, while the North Conway location boosts more than 10,000 unique ornaments.
Rhode Island
In Warwick you will find the The Gift Box, a family owned store that opened its doors in 2011. Always changing and redecorating The Gift Box offers a wide variety of Christmas trees and wreaths, ornaments, hand painted glasses, lawn decor and much more.
The Gift Box prides itself in, "carrying an assortment of the finest quality items at reasonable prices," so that they are welcoming to shoppers on any budget.
Vermont
The Weston Village Christmas Shop is a winter wonderland that entices all shoppers. Located in Weston, the shop features a wide assortment of themed Christmas trees that display ornaments for everyone.
Shoppers will also find decorated plates, Santa's, lighted jars, Advent calendars and countless other items to decorate your home with.
